As friends of hillport house we are campaigning to overturn the proposed closure put forward by the council.

Friends ,relatives and staff at the home are activley campaiging to overturn the decision,signing petitions and attending demonstrations at stafford headquarters.

 Wednesday the 7th febuary

A mass protest took place at the stafford council offices where over 300 people attended.

The 7th was the day which the council would pass or overturn the proposed closure of all council homes.You have probally seen the coverage in the local newspapers of on the local news bullietins.The council passed the bill and they will be regrouping to discuss the final outcome this coming thursday the 15th.

Thursday 15th Febuary 

There is another demonstration organised at the stafford council offices .If you disagree with the closures feel free to lend your support and come along i can assure you the residents of hillport will thankyou!
